Meeting of the Inter-American Network of International Trade Single Windows
On July 25, 2014, The National Press Club, in Washington D.C was the chosen venue to announce the four winners of the Pathways to Prosperity Innovation Challenge. The four awardees, selected from a pool of twelve finalists, will receive a comprehensive package of financial and technical support to expand their ideas across the region. During the week of July 7-11, 2014, delegations of the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) of Central and South America participated in an exchange visit to San Antonio, Texas and Washington, D.C. under the auspices of the Pathways to Prosperity in the Americas Initiative. On August 15, Trinidad and Tobago's i2i (Ideas to Innovation) Competition, a vehicle for the development of ideas with commercial potential, will reveal its selected projects. Read more about the competition here. The Red VUCE initiative is meeting in Cartagena, Colombia. The objective is to foster the use of electronic windows as a trade facilitation and control tool, and to optimize and reduce the time and costs associated with export, import, and transit transactions according tointernational standards, recommendations, and good practices.
